About the Role

NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join its Corporate Affairs Directorate. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest levels of corporate governance within the organization.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Risk Manager to ensure that the ICB has sound systems, policies, and processes in place to manage all aspects of risk proactively. This will involve delivering a high-quality and integrated incident management service, overseeing the investigation of any claims against the ICB, and coordinating access to high-quality legal advice.

Main Responsibilities

The Risk Management Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the establishment and management of effective corporate risk systems and processes;
  • Providing specialist advice on risk management and nationally required processes;
  • Working with directors and managers to identify areas of new and changed risk;
  • Maintaining the ICB's risk management software tools;
  • Ensuring that all risks included on the risk registers and assurance framework are described appropriately and include details of all relevant controls, assurances, gaps, and risk score.
