About the Role


You will be responsible for completing repair/refurbishment works on time and to a high standard, utilising your certified core trade skills and experience in plastering within social housing.


As a Plastering Tradesperson, you will take ownership of undertaking construction, fault finding, and maintenance repairs, striving for a first-time completion while adhering to budget and time constraints.


You will ensure that the customer experience is central to all activities, adopting a professional manner when communicating with service users, clients, and stakeholders. This includes maintaining a high standard of appearance, company ID, vehicle condition, and Health & Safety requirements.


It may be necessary to obtain customer feedback on the completion of works, where requested.


You will process all activities electronically, utilising a handheld device (PDA), to complete tasks such as worksheets, timesheets, photographic evidence of works, van stock replenishment, booking of annual leave, vehicle inspections, safeguarding issues, risk assessments, and method statements.


Keep all supplied company assets in good condition, in line with company policies, and report to your Supervisor/Manager where damages occur.


You will utilise existing stock or collect materials as required to meet works order requirements, in accordance with standard operating procedures for purchasing and van stock control compliance.


Attend informal and formal meetings and training sessions as required.


Participate in call-out cover if and when required to ensure contract compliance and service user satisfaction for emergency repairs.


Role Criteria:



  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previous experience in plastering in social housing
  • Good communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Must provide own hand tools
