TourHero is a social travel platform that enables people to meet like-minded individuals through unforgettable journeys. We're building an online marketplace to help plan unique epic adventures that enable travellers to meet other like-minded new people during their trips.

About the Role

As a Full Stack Engineer at TourHero, you'll be the driving force behind our mission to create unforgettable travel experiences. You'll craft user-centric solutions that redefine the way people explore the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement features to optimise user experience across various devices and platforms.
  • Craft and maintain cutting-edge web applications and APIs using modern technologies.
  • Ensure high code quality by conducting thorough testing, code reviews, and documentation.
  • Engage in an Agile development environment, actively participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives.
  • Play a pivotal role in software architecture across the stack and contribute to shaping the overall architecture and technical direction of the platform.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a full stack engineering role or similar capacity.
  • Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails.
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Angular).
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong grasp of web standards and accessibility principles.
  • Experienced with databases and proficient in data modelling.
  • Knowledgeable in software engineering best practices, including version control, testing methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
