About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious accountant to join our client's finance team as a Financial Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to make a real impact in an industry role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts to the Board, providing financial insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial performance, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency gains.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, maintaining a high level of financial governance.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and oversee group treasury activities, ensuring the company's financial stability and growth.
  • Develop financial models to support investment and growth strategies, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and financial analysis as required by the Board, providing expert financial guidance and advice.
About You

We are looking for a commercially-minded accountant with:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, with an eye for detail
  • A background in audit, accounting, or advisory services within a practice environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present financial data and insights to senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 and Excel
  • Ambition and the ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • A desire to add value and grow within an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
