Job Title: Associate Director River Engineering

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our River Engineering team. As an Associate Director, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our cities and environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and direct teams who undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes.
  • Define briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Set quality assurance standards in design.
  • Grow, develop and manage engineering capability within the practice.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Civil Engineer or equivalent.
  • Experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in design such as flood walls and embankments, weirs, hydraulic structures, culverts, scour protection, access and accessibility, and construction logistics.
  • Familiarity with current UK design standards, guidance and working practices.
  • Proficiency in delivering both traditional engineering and environmentally focused solutions using nature-based strategies.
