Job Description

The Logistics Partnership LLP is seeking an experienced Early Shift HGV Mechanic to join their team in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. As a key member of the maintenance workshop, you will be responsible for ensuring that heavy commercial vehicles are properly maintained and repaired.

This role involves working on a Monday to Friday early shift rotation, with overtime opportunities available at a rate of £29.74 per hour on weekdays and £39.66 per hour on weekends and bank holidays. The successful candidate will have a Class 1 license, although this is not essential for the role. If you hold a heavy vehicle driving license, you will be required to present fully prepared vehicles for their MOT test.

The ideal candidate will have completed an HGV/LGV apprenticeship and possess excellent problem-solving skills. They will also be able to maintain accurate records and promote safe working practices. If you have a full UK driving license and experience in the HGV industry, we would love to hear from you.

Key Job Tasks:

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting thorough vehicle inspections to identify any works that need undertaking.
  • Completing all required works identified in the initial inspection.
  • Ensuring all pre-planned maintenance is undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking MOT inspections along with preparations.
  • Promoting safe working practices and ensuring that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy.
