Job Summary:

Vision for Education is seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to work in a primary school in North Tyneside. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and SEN, with experience in developing and implementing SEND policies and strategies.

About the Job:

The SENCO will be responsible for determining the strategic development of special educational needs (SEND) policy and provision in the school. This will involve working closely with teachers, parents, and other agencies to ensure that all pupils receive the support they need to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide professional guidance to colleagues and fulfill the professional responsibilities of a teacher.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status National Award for SEN Co-ordination
  • Experience in developing and implementing SEND policies and strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
