The Aircraft Restoration Company is a leading organisation in the field of vintage aircraft restoration, maintenance and operation. The company is seeking a skilled Aircraft Contract Analyst to join its team.
Job Description:
The Aircraft Contract Analyst will be responsible for analysing Ministry of Defence (MOD) aircraft major servicing schedules and contracts to prepare cost estimates based on required information. They will assess labour, parts, tooling, materials and subcontracted tasks for each project and their associated costs. Additionally, they will coordinate with relevant teams to gather necessary technical data and relevant input for accurate cost projections. The Aircraft Contract Analyst will review scope of work, maintenance requests, service bulletins (SBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and manuals to ensure the full scope of work has been captured. They will ensure compliance from a costing perspective with regulatory authorities (MAA, CAA) and internal quality processes. They will act as the primary point of contact during the contract quoting process, addressing questions, concerns or clarifications regarding costings. They will monitor project costs to ensure alignment with original cost estimates. They will be aware of and analyse engineering risks associated with works being costed. They will develop and maintain cost databases and historical data for future reference and cost accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements (MAA and CAA). They should have experience of UK military aviation servicing and maintenance schedules, as well as experience in an aviation contract costing environment. They should be able to interpret technical data and communicate effectively with colleagues. A strong analytical mind and attention to detail are essential for this role. Candidates with relevant experience or job titles such as Engineering Estimator, Aviation Engineer, Aviation Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, Manufacturing Estimator, Technical Estimator, Engineering Project Estimator, Technical Project Estimator may also be considered.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum.
