Clinical Duties:
  • Awareness and implementation of patient care programs, including assessment and evaluation of these programs.
  • Carry out relevant forms of care to designated patients and supervise learner nurses and healthcare workers.
  • Care and control of medication and controlled drugs used for patient care, adhering to safe administration systems and stock management.
  • Maintenance of professional, clinical, and patient safety in accordance with Trust/unit and ward policies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of good hand hygiene and environmental cleaning practices, aligned with North Middlesex University Hospital trust policies.
  • Understanding of infection control principles and prevention of cross-infection in patient care and the clinical environment.
  • Effective communication of basic care information and answering queries for patients, relatives/carers, and multidisciplinary team members.
