We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Engineer to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medical equipment across the Trust.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies for the management of medical equipment, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure that medical equipment is properly maintained and serviced, and that any issues are promptly addressed.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigations to minimize the risk of equipment-related incidents.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of medical equipment, including inventory management and asset tracking.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clinical staff on the use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in medical equipment technology and best practices in clinical engineering.
- Education to degree/NVQ Level 6 in a relevant subject, or extensive knowledge and experience in the field of equipment management and support.
- Expert knowledge of clinical, scientific, and engineering aspects of medical equipment.
- Experience of creating reports from relational databases.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet use.
- Able to assimilate, analyze, and present complex data.
- High level of planning and organizational skills with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Able to negotiate issues of a technical and commercial nature.
