Join Our Team as a QA Embedded Tester

We are a dynamic and innovative company, Cloud Imperium Games Limited, and we are looking for a talented QA Embedded Tester to join our team. As a QA Embedded Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards of our game, Star Citizen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Senior QA staff to coordinate testing efforts and ensure the game meets the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with development and production teams to create, maintain, and share documentation and information.
  • Identify and report issues to Senior QA members and push back when quality standards are in question.
  • Develop and implement plans and tools for finding exploits and ensuring QA provides work-in-progress development testing.
  • Maintain an organized bug database and ensure clear written comprehension in bug reports.
  • Complete test plans and regress resolved issues.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of new and existing Quality Assurance methodologies.
What You Can Expect:
  • A comprehensive 2.5-week training program to get you up to speed on our game and testing processes.
  • Post-training, you will be assigned to one of our existing teams based on your skills and qualities.
  • You will work with a team to develop, test, and influence new and existing game features and systems.
  • You will be guided and assisted by our leadership team through formal career development programs.
Requirements:
  • Good understanding of testing methodologies, test plan organization, and technical requirements.
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to focus on priorities, manage change, and be flexible to changing requests.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and defect tracking tools, such as Hansoft, Jira, or DevTrack.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with a good eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to work under rapid development cycles.
  • A thorough knowledge of videogames across multiple platforms.
  • Natural curiosity and enthusiasm for finding bugs.
