Avetta is seeking a highly skilled QHSE Associate to join our team. As a QHSE Associate, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying the Safety and Health Policies, Procedures, Plans, and training requirements on behalf of AVETTA Operators and Contractor Members.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct Manual Audits to assess a Contractor's Safety and Health Policies, Procedures, Plans, and Training documentation required based on exposure hazards associated with services performed.
- Assist customers with closing gaps or deficiencies as a result of the audit.
- Perform customer verifications and Audit closure assistance.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
- Record details of inquiries, comments, and complaints within the Contractor Account Notes.
- Forward customer complaints or concerns to the Audit Manager or other Designated Safety Professional in a timely manner.
- Maintain ISO9001 Quality Management System.
- Maintain SSIP Membership.
- Act as Deputy Accreditation Quality Manager (ISO17020 UKAS Accreditation).
- Health and Safety professional with at least 5 years experience working within an health and safety environment.
- NEBOSH qualified (or equivalent) as a minimum.
- 3+ years experience in contractor pre-qualification.
- Auditing experience is a plus.
- SSIP knowledge (UK based auditors) is a plus (SSIP Auditor will be provided for UK based auditors).
- Environmental/sustainability experience is a plus.
- Safety and Health program development or editing is a plus.
- European experience a plus.
- Management Systems (ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001) experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of ISO17020 is a plus.
- Working knowledge of the relevant industries we serve (see Industries Page at www.avetta.com/industries).
