Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Team Leader (M&E) to assist the Team Leader in managing a multi-trade team at our Stevenage site. The role involves ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, performance metrics, SLAs, and regulatory/statutory requirements, including health, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading the team to deliver a comprehensive engineering service at the Stevenage site.
  • Ensure compliance with performance metrics, SLAs, and regulatory/statutory requirements related to quality, health, safety, and environment.
  • Maximize the availability of engineering assets, provide technical support for projects, and assist with commissioning and handover works.
  • Ensure the accuracy of asset information, support spares management, and supervise subcontractors.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in facilities management or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally.

Working Hours and Salary

The working hours for this position are 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, with overtime available. The salary for this position is £45,000 per annum DOE, plus 25 days' holiday + bank holidays and additional benefits.
