About the Role

iMultiply Resourcing Ltd is partnering with a leading independent accountancy firm to recruit an Audit and Assurance Manager for its Glasgow office.

The firm is a top 35 firm of accountants and business advisers in the UK, with 16 offices across the country. The role will involve managing specific Audit and Assurance clients and workflow, ensuring adherence to individual job budget and maximum fee recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prioritise and allocate client work to ensure effective team workflow
  • Establish scope and budget for each piece of client work and brief team members accordingly
  • Ensure client agreement for work to be undertaken and communicate likely fees prior to commencement to maximise fee recovery
  • Monitor work progress and communicate with clients and internal stakeholders on progress for each piece of client work
  • Monitor individual and team performance versus original objectives and departmental KPIs
  • Provide regular feedback to team members on their performance
  • Conduct formal appraisals versus original objectives and job specification for each direct team member
  • Assist students and trainees with on-the-job training
  • Support the wider Audit and Assurance team in delivering the required departmental incremental fee target
Requirements
  • ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualified
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of UK taxes, including Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE
  • Excellent knowledge and working experience of the International Standards on Auditing (UK and Ireland) variant
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Dedicated team player with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Strong organisation and problem-solving skills
