About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our team at our Customer Fulfilment Centre in Purfleet, Essex. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the performance of a designated department, ensuring efficient and professional operations, and contributing to the achievement of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Department Manager in managing departmental performance, ensuring targets are met without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Lead the daily running of site operations, focusing on site safety, quality of service, and operational targets within agreed budgets and timeframes.
- Collaborate with the Area Manager to identify and resolve physical and technical issues affecting operations, escalating as necessary.
- Proactively report production issues, ensuring all relevant and operational critical issues/incidents are identified and resolved/escalated to minimize disruption to productivity levels and customer service metrics.
- Make recommendations for future improvements and best practices, ensuring all processes and supporting tasks are completed to agreed timescales.
Requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with a strong understanding of food safety standards and compliance.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
