About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical/Power System Engineer to manage real-time transmission system activities across specific UK regions in England, Scotland, and Wales.

This position offers exciting opportunities for career growth, with high-quality training provided to equip you to handle complex challenges effectively.

The role is based in Wokingham and will involve a 24/7, 365 days a year shift pattern, for which you will receive a shift allowance.

About You

We value a range of perspectives and experiences, so if you are a Power System or Electrical Engineer with proven expertise in Transmission System Control and are passionate about building a better energy future, we encourage you to apply.

  • Knowledge of transmission network operation and system security standards.
  • Recognised engineering or technical degree level or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Sustainable Energy, Power Systems, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in Transmission System Control, Network Planning, or Network Design.
  • A background in working for or with transmission operators (TOs), distribution network operators (DNOs), or specialist energy consultants will be a significant advantage.
What You'll Do
  • Ensure that the transmission network is being operated within a secure envelope.
  • Direct network reconfiguration and voltage control actions.
  • Coordinate with external Network Operators and Users.
What You'll Get

A competitive salary of circa £65,000- £75,000 – dependent on capability. Plus 26% shift allowance per annum.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance, 26 days annual leave as standard and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
