Asbestos Surveyor Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join our team at Environmental Essentials. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality asbestos survey data and reports to our clients.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Conduct asbestos inspections and surveys on various sites and sectors
* Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and compliance with statutory requirements
* Represent the company in a professional manner and uphold our standards
* Produce accurate and factual survey and sampling information, site plans, and other relevant documentation
* Ensure adherence to our UKAS accredited management system and its policies and procedures

**Requirements**

* Knowledge and awareness of current issues and developments in the asbestos industry
* Awareness of effective and compliant inspection and testing methods and strategies
* Awareness of relevant legislative guidance for asbestos surveying duties
* Experience in surveying premises for asbestos on a variety of sectors/sites
* BOHS P402 (or RSPH equivalent) – mandatory
* BOHS W504 (S301), CoCA – desirable
* Excellent communication skills
* Works under own initiative
* Flexible and reliable
* Able to plan and present information clearly, concisely, and professionally
* Problem-solving capability
* IT literate (working with a variety of reporting formats – preferably PDAs)
