Join Boston Hale, a leading technology-driven organisation, as a Data Governance Strategist in their Central Data team. This innovative role involves building tools to ensure the effective and ethical use of data across the company's brands.

The Central Data team works with a modern cloud stack, including GCP and AWS, using Python, deep learning tools, and frameworks for machine learning. Our tech stack also includes React, GraphQL, Node, and D3 for developing APIs, flexible front-end product components, and data visualisation.

As a Data Governance Strategist, you will contribute to repositioning data governance as a 'force for good' to create competitive advantages for our brands and business units. Reporting to the Head of Data Enablement, your responsibilities include:

  • Transitioning data governance from a compliance-based function to an essential business partner aligned with business goals.
  • Effectively communicating the role of the Data Enablement team and the value of data governance to stakeholders.
  • Contributing to defining and executing the overall Data Enablement strategy.
  • Establishing metrics to measure progress in data improvement initiatives.
  • Translating data governance principles and terminology into relatable language for stakeholders.
  • Leading and coordinating data management topics such as Data Quality, Information Management, and Data Privacy and Protection.
  • Collaborating with Data Protection, Cyber Security, Technology, and Brands teams to ensure effective data governance practices.
  • Defining and implementing the data governance framework, including policies, guidelines, processes, and roles. Facilitating relevant steering groups or governance forums.
  • Conducting periodic reviews of data governance maturity and reporting risks, issues, and improvements to stakeholders.

We offer a salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including maternity leave up to 18 weeks full basic salary & paternity leave up to 2 weeks, wide range of training available, plus full LinkedIn Learning access, private medical insurance including coverage for pre-existing conditions, and more.
