Mechanical Engineer Position Overview

Axis Technology & Development is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Implementation Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling our Mushroom harvesting equipment. Additionally, you will work closely with our Design Team on R&D projects to develop new products and improve our current product range.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Design, manufacture, and assemble mechanical systems and equipment
  2. Install and commission systems on customer sites, both domestically and internationally
  3. Provide post-installation customer support and troubleshooting
  4. Collaborate with Design Engineers to optimize the assembly process
  5. Work with the R&D team to refine and extend our product range
  6. Participate in R&D projects, contributing to the design, production, and testing of new products and concepts
Essential Skills and Requirements
  1. Ability to travel internationally
  2. Experience in precision engineering and manufacturing
  3. Proficiency in reading detailed engineering drawings
  4. Experience in sheet metal, stainless, and aluminum fabrication
  5. Maintaining technical specifications and documentation
  6. Demonstrable engineering expertise and problem-solving skills
  7. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  10. Flexibility to work overtime as required
  11. Awareness of general Health and Safety regulations
Desirable Skills and Requirements
  1. CAD drawing and Solidworks modeling experience
  2. Welding and fabrication experience, including stainless, TIG, MIG, and manual arc welding
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Minimum of 5 years post-qualification engineering experience
  2. NVQ Level 3 or higher
  3. HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Hours of Work

Monday to Thursday, 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 1pm, with flexibility to work overtime as required
