About the Role

Mencap is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Belper, Derbyshire. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily activities and provide emotional support to individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
  • Support individuals to maintain their homes, manage finances, and access the local community.
  • Teach life skills such as cooking, budgeting, and medication management.
  • Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
