Job Overview:

The role of a Nuclear Safety Strategist is crucial in shaping the safety case strategy and working closely with project partners to ensure a safety-informed design.

This position will provide you with the opportunity to work on diverse nuclear projects, including defence, civil nuclear, and nuclear generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Shaping the nuclear safety case strategy
  2. Working closely with project partners to ensure a safety-informed design
  3. Producing safety reports and other technical documents
  4. Leading Safety Case Report production
  5. Responsible for ALARP Assessments

Requirements:

  • A proven track record in safety, ideally within the defence or nuclear domains, or other highly regulated industries
  • Hold an Honours Degree (or equivalent) in physics, mechanical engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Ideally be a Technical practitioner in the Nuclear/Defence domains and able to demonstrate good engineering judgement with experience in applying fundamental engineering principles

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of 50-75K + benefits including bonus, flexi leave, car allowance, significant pension & more.

Location: Bristol, Aldershot, Reading, Manchester, Glasgow, Weybridge (Hybrid Working will be offered)
