Materials Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials & Quality Inspector to join our client, a leading multinational manufacturer of medical devices. This is a 23-month contract opportunity that requires a strong background in quality inspection and a third-level qualification in Quality Management, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide inspection support in the areas of component and mechatronic inspection, supporting manufacturing.
- Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRS) and lot inspection activities.
- Support suppliers in delivering quality products to internal customers through product and process investigations and evaluations.
- Support technology transfer initiatives and new product introduction projects.
- Assess supplier capability to meet quality requirements and ensure supplier processes align with internal requirements.
- Participate in design changes of components and assemblies to enhance product quality and reduce operator error.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, mechatronic, and electromechanical measurement systems.
- Inspection methodologies such as PCBA Visual Inspection (IPC-610), fabricated/machined metal mechanical/visual inspection, precision linear measurement, non-contact measurement, molded and machined plastics inspection and measurement.
- Inspection and measurement of lenses and focal length.
- General inspection to drawing, including commercial off-the-shelf components inspected against vendor item or model number.
