The Relief Phlebotomist role is a dynamic opportunity to work with The Boots Company PLC, supporting the delivery of phlebotomy services across various stores in the region. As a Relief Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer care, managing clerical tasks, and taking venous blood samples from participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service: Warmly welcome participants, verify their details, and provide clear explanations of the phlebotomy procedure.
  2. Clerical Responsibilities: Coordinate appointment bookings for the phlebotomy service, ensure adequate stock levels of essential materials, and maintain accurate records.
  3. Phlebotomy Services: Take and maintain venous blood samples from participants, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
  4. Healthcare Counter Support: Provide valuable support to patients and customers, offering informed advice on healthcare products and services.
  5. Training and Development: Complete an NVQ2 Healthcare training programme to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  1. Previous Experience: Previous experience as a Phlebotomist is desirable, but we will consider applicants without experience and provide full training.
  2. Passion for Healthcare: Be passionate about healthcare and customer care, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  3. Flexibility: Be flexible to work weekends and adapt to changing circumstances.
