The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Leadership Development Specialist to contribute to the success of National Grid's Electricity Distribution business unit. In this role, you will play a key part in implementing Performance and Leadership Development solutions, leveraging existing programs and offerings to meet business needs.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement plans for integrating Performance and Leadership Development solutions into the Electricity Distribution business unit, ensuring effective sequencing of programs and solutions to embed learning based on priority areas of development.

• Ensure National Grid tools and frameworks, such as Manager Essentials, are successfully embedded within the Electricity Distribution business unit.

• Roll out National Grid solutions and update content to align with Electricity Distribution specific policies and systems.

• Coordinate Talent Management approach within the Electricity Distribution business unit, working alongside HR Business Partners to facilitate.

• Coordinate the plan for the roll out of Team Effectiveness methodology, including the identification of potential team effectiveness facilitators to support the Electricity Distribution plan.

• Ensure any revised processes, such as the Performance Management process, are effectively implemented.

• Work with the Communications team to develop an integrated and sequenced Communications plan for the roll out of all Performance and Leadership Development Solutions.

About You

• Self-motivated, with organisational skills and a proven ability to work as part of a team and collaborating across functional areas.

• Proficient project management skills.

• Experience in developing learning solutions and development programs.

• Learning and development experience or qualifications is desirable.

• Knowledge and experience required are used on a regular and frequent basis in carrying out the duties of the post.

• Facilitating virtual and in person events.

• Confident talking to senior stakeholders about the program and sell its benefits to the business.

• Be self-motivated and resilient, with excellent organisational skills with proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrate proficiency and prior experience in leveraging data analytics, reporting, and insights to guide continuous improvement, decision-making, and recommendations.

• Experience in blended learning approaches.

• Experience of working across different geographical locations.

• Proficient facilitation skills.
