Page Personnel is partnering with a successful business seeking a skilled Debt Recovery Specialist to join their accountancy team on a full-time permanent basis.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.



Job Description


The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining proactive contact with customers by phone and email to obtain payment by the due date and in accordance with authorised payment terms and targets.



  • Maintain accurate credit limits and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure accounts are up-to-date, reconciled as required, and perform routine housekeeping tasks.
  • Update cash flow forecasts and allocate received payments against customer accounts using Sage.
  • Send monthly statements to customers and process credit notes when requested.
  • Set up new customers, complete credit checks, and provide weekly/monthly reporting for management and directors.
  • Support the Finance Manager and Director with ad-hoc tasks as needed.


Requirements


To succeed in this role, you must have:



  • Experience in debt recovery or a related field.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Ideal AAT part-qualified or qualified status.
  • Sage Line 50 and Excel (Intermediate) experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to maintain accurate financial records and multitask in a busy accounting department.
  • A polite and cheerful attitude, particularly in meetings and supporting the wider team.
  • A willingness to undertake professional development.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
