We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lecturer to join our team at the University College of Estate Management (UCEM). As a Senior Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning, teaching, and assessment in the areas of renewable energy, engineering, and the environment.
The successful candidate will have a blend of industry and academic experience, with a strong track record of teaching and research in these areas. You will be expected to support the development and launch of new programs, including a proposed post-graduate program in MSc Renewable Energy and Technology.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality learning, teaching, and assessment in renewable energy, engineering, and the environment
- Supporting and managing the development and delivery of modules
- Demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional development through scholarly activity, research, industry liaison, and engagement with UCEM staff development activities

Key Skills and Experience- Able to support the development and launch of new programs, most specifically a new post-graduate program: MSc Renewable Energy and Technology (proposed launch Autumn 2026)
- Ideally have a blend of industry and academic experience, although we would be particularly keen to hear from experienced construction quantity surveyors or construction managers looking to move into teaching and research
- Currently working as a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor level in a related discipline
- Cert HE/L4 Building Services Engineering Senior Technician (proposed launch Autumn 2026)
- Cert HE/L4 BEMS (Building Energy Management Systems) Controls Engineer (proposed launch Autumn 2026)
We offer a competitive salary range of £50,000 to £60,000 per annum, plus benefits. We are committed to supporting our employees' personal and professional development through scholarly activity, research, industry liaison, and engagement with UCEM staff development activities.
