We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Domestic Assistant - Cleaning and Support. As a key member of our Estates and Facilities team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out cleaning and domestic duties to the highest standards, adhering to Trust policies and national cleaning standards.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high standards of cleaning within both clinical and non-clinical areas.
- Provide a cleaning service in accordance with approved methods, standards, and frequencies.
- Support terminal cleans and infection cleans, ensuring compliance with infection control procedures.
- Remove and clean up uncontained body fluid spillages in line with Trust policy and national cleaning standards.
- Use cleaning equipment, machinery, and cleaning materials safely and effectively.
- Undertake Bioquell Q50-HPV decontamination duties as required.
- Adopt a flexible approach to meet service needs, including working unsocial hours and moving to different areas as required.
We are looking for an individual who:
- Has a basic understanding of cleaning within a hospital environment.
- Has knowledge of using electrical cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, buffers, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.
- Is able to communicate effectively with a range of people and understand written and verbal communications.
- Has basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Is able to organize and prioritize day-to-day tasks.
- Is flexible and adaptable to meet service needs.
