We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Nurse to join our team at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of clinical care within the Inpatient Team at Amblescroft North.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Practice Management: To oversee the provision of high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients, ensuring that assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations are carried out to the highest standards.
- Teaching, Education & Health Promotion: To provide mentoring opportunities for staff and promote positive attitudes towards mental health, utilizing own specialist skills, knowledge, and resources.
- Continuing Professional Development: To maintain and develop professional knowledge, skills, and expertise to ensure that practice reflects best practice, remains evidence-based, and is current and responsive to meet changing patient and NHS service needs.
- Finance and Workforce: To optimize the use of available workforce resources, based on agreed staffing models, to ensure the provision of the best possible care.
- Record Keeping and Administration: To maintain and enforce standards of record keeping and associated administration, in accordance with AWP Trust Policy and local joint arrangements, and professional guidelines.
- Evidence-Based Nursing, Practice Development & Clinical Audit: To be involved in practice development activity and evidence-based mental health nursing.
- Professional Nursing Advice: To contribute to providing professional nursing advice within the post-holder's area of responsibility and span of knowledge.
- Relevant experience at Band 5 is essential.
- Demonstrable evidence of continuing professional development and achievement.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High standards of practice.
- Motivation to develop inpatient care.
- Ability to support and motivate a staff team through line management and clinical supervision.
The successful candidate will be required to work within a range of shifts and participate in rotation onto nights.
