Position Description

Our client, a leading Tier 1 Infrastructure Construction main contractor, requires a seasoned Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support their commercial operations on a temporary basis. This 6-month contract will cover a Highways Scheme near Coventry.

Core Duties
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports and project performance updates
  • Participate in operational team meetings to discuss End Life Forecasts and other project-related matters
  • Maintain effective communication with clients regarding contractual issues and concerns
  • Coordinate contract administration, including payment and debt management
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, adhering to NEC contract guidelines
  • Assist in the procurement and placement of subcontracts, emphasizing cost-effectiveness and minimal risk
  • Engage in internal and external meetings, contributing to project delivery and success
Requirements and Experience
  • Mandatory experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a similar environment (civil engineering/infrastructure construction)
  • Strong understanding and application of NEC contract principles
Salary and Benefits

This position offers a daily compensation of up to £500, contingent on experience.
