About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Trading Operations Specialist to join our team at Black Swan Group. As a key member of our London Trading Operations team, you will have the opportunity to work directly with Portfolio Managers and Traders, providing front-to-back trade support for our cross-asset trading activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide front-to-back trade capture, trade affirmations, matching/allocations, trade enrichment (covering settlements, reconciliations) and managing trade life cycle events.
  • Work with a wide range of internal and external clients, supporting the PMs and Trading desk, facing off to counterparties/brokers to resolve trade discrepancies, breaks and offer trade and query resolution in a timely manner.
  • Manage trade life cycle events, including options, expires, rate re-sets, credit events and corporate actions.
  • Collaborate with the business to drive efficiencies across new fund launches, controls, processes and systems.
  • Utilize trade management systems, including Markitwire, ICE-Link, CTM, Omego Alert, MTM, and Osttra trade management systems.
  • Develop and maintain value-added IT skills in Excel VBA and Python programming.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years' experience in Trading Operations, preferably in a Tier 1 Investment Bank, Hedge Fund or Asset/Investment Manager.
  • Direct experience across a wide portfolio of trade products, including Fixed Income, Interest Rates, Credit, Equities, FX Futures and Options.
  • STEM-based University Degree with a minimum 1st or 2.1 grade degree.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner with trading desks, manage complex queries and provide clear resolution.
  • Proficiency in Excel VBA and Python programming.
