About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Elevator Technician to join our team in the UK. As an Elevator Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a range of elevator systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation: Carry out the installation of new elevator systems, ensuring all work meets company standards and complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance checks and routine servicing to keep elevators in optimal condition, reducing downtime and extending lifespan.
  • Fault Finding: Diagnose and troubleshoot faults efficiently, providing accurate assessments and repairs to resolve issues swiftly.
  • Repairs: Conduct both minor and major repairs, replacing or refurbishing parts as needed to ensure the continued safe operation of all elevator systems.
  • Testing and Inspections: Perform regular inspections, safety checks, and load testing on elevators to comply with statutory requirements and best practice standards.

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Elevator Technician or similar role, with knowledge of mechanical and electrical elevator systems. The successful candidate will also possess strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and customer service skills.

The estimated salary for this position is around £55,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include a competitive salary, company van, tools, and equipment provided, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme, training and development opportunities, overtime and on-call bonuses, and opportunities for career progression within the company.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Elevator Technician or similar role.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent qualification (desirable).
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical elevator systems, with the ability to work on a variety of makes and models.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to elevator installation and maintenance.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota for emergency callouts.
