Job Title: Academic Learning Support Specialist

Aspire People is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team as a Maternity Cover in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children aged 7-11 who have Special Educational Needs.

The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience teaching in a UK primary school setting with a focus on SEN teaching. A strong understanding of the needs of children with SEN, including strategies for differentiation and support, is essential.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to children with a range of SEN.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to plan and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide regular assessments and feedback on student progress to parents and the wider school team.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and personal development.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively.

**Essential Criteria:**

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching in a UK primary school setting, with a focus on SEN teaching.
  • Current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong understanding of the needs of children with SEN, including strategies for differentiation and support.
  • Patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.

**Salary:** £28,000 - £35,000 per annum.
