Key Responsibilities

As a Hot-Fire Test Engineer at Expert Employment, you will be responsible for the execution of hot-fire testing programmes, including site preparation and maintenance, fuel and oxidiser handling, pressure systems, instrumentation, control systems, space thruster theory, steam boiler operation, data analysis, and site and system safety.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site preparation and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient testing
  • Develop and manage fuel and oxidiser handling procedures to meet COMAH controlled testing requirements
  • Design and implement pressure systems to guarantee reliable and precise testing
  • Setup and calibrate instrumentation for accurate data collection
  • Implement control systems to enable seamless testing operations
  • Apply space thruster theory to design and test advanced propulsion systems
  • Maintain steam boilers to support hot-fire testing
  • Perform data analysis to inform future testing strategies and improve overall efficiency

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in a field such as aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or physics
  • Proven experience in hot-fire testing, preferably in a COMAH controlled environment
  • Excellent understanding of pressure systems, instrumentation, control systems, space thruster theory, steam boiler operation, and data analysis
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to interpret complex data
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this role is £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and generous annual leave, is also offered.
