M&E Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a talented Graduate/Assistant M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Kent. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our M&E projects across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for M&E projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and assist in the selection of vendors.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) and schedules of rates for M&E elements of construction projects.
- Support the senior quantity surveyor in the tendering process, including analysing and evaluating tender submissions, assisting with subcontractor selection, and preparing tender reports.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and administration of contracts, including subcontract agreements, variations, and change orders.
- Monitor project costs and expenditures, track variations, and assist in the preparation of cost reports. Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest value engineering options.
- Assist in the preparation of interim and final valuations for M&E works, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements. Review and verify subcontractor payment applications.
- Contribute to regular cost reporting to the project team and clients, providing updates on project financial status, variations, and cash flow projections.
- Assist in the evaluation and preparation of claims, as well as participate in dispute resolution processes, such as negotiations and mediation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- UK Drivers Licence
- Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Knowledge of M&E Services
- Ideally experience working within an M&E Contractor
- Be located in (or close to) Kent
- Competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
- 25 days Holiday + Christmas off + BH
