The salary for this role is competitive, with a weekly pay rate of approximately £**£350-400** per week, depending on experience and qualifications. This translates to an estimated annual salary of around £**18,000-20,800**, based on a 40-week contract.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified English teacher to join our team at a local Secondary School in Hemel Hempstead. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a proven track record of delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of students aged 11-18.

The school has made significant strides in developing a supportive and inclusive culture, with a strong focus on student welfare and development. As a key member of the team, you will be expected to instil your passion for English and encourage students to engage and focus on learning the curriculum.

You will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality lessons, as well as providing intervention and behavioural support to students who require additional assistance. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with parents and carers are essential for this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a valid QTS qualification and a degree in English or a related subject. Previous experience working in a Secondary School setting is desirable, but not essential. You should also possess excellent lesson planning and delivery skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
