Job Title: Support Worker

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children with autism? Do you have a compassionate and caring nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills?

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at Oakfield House, a bright and fun place to live and learn in Cardiff. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met, and promoting their independence through a range of activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide bespoke care to residents, including keeping accurate records.
  • Ensure residents' physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment.
  • Be a positive role model and promote residents' independence through activities.
  • Contribute to general housekeeping duties, including meal preparation and personal care.
  • Build strong relationships with residents and colleagues.

Requirements:
  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts.
