Vulnerable Adults and Children Trainer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our North East Ambition team as a Safeguarding Learning and Development Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is dedicated to safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
The job involves delivering a comprehensive multi-agency learning and development offer, contributing to increasing the knowledge and skills of the workforce in safeguarding. You will work collaboratively with various partners, including Gateshead Council, Northumbria Police, Northeast and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB), Probation, education, and voluntary sector organisations.
Your main duties will include implementing priorities identified by the Gateshead Safeguarding Children Partnership (GSCP) and the Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB). You will strive to support and embed a learning culture where everyone takes ownership of their own learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of multi-agency training and development initiatives, incorporating core safeguarding training and integrating learning from child safeguarding practice reviews (CSPRs), safeguarding adult reviews (SARs), and local learning reviews.
- BUILD EFFECTIVE PARTNERSHIPS WITH STAKEHOLDERS, FACILITATING A SAFEGUARDING OFFER THAT FOCUSES ON IMPROVING SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE IN SAFEGUARDING PRACTICES.
- ENSURE DEVELOPMENT NEEDS ARE ALIGNED WITH NATIONAL GUIDANCE, WORKING TOGETHER TO SAFEGUARD CHILDREN 2023, AND THE CARE ACT 2014.
- COLLBORATE WITH STAKEHOLDERS TO DESIGN, DEVELOP, AND IMPLEMENT MULTI-AGENCY TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES, INCORPORATING CORE SAFEGUARDING TRAINING AND INTEGRATING LEARNING FROM CHILD SAFEGUARDING PRACTICE REVIEWS (CSPRS), SAFEGUARDING ADULT REVIEWS (SARS), AND LOCAL LEARNING REVIEWS.
Requirements
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality learning and development support and guidance.
- Strong partnership-building skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Experience working at this capacity currently.
- A passion for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
