Job Title: Health & Safety Officer

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety professional to join The Recruitment Co in Blackwood, ensuring a safe working environment and promoting a positive health and safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation, safeguarding employees and the company.
  • Maintain and develop company policies and procedures to guarantee a safe workplace.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into accidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing effective controls to prevent recurrence and complete risk assessments.
  • Deliver or coordinate Health and Safety training according to organizational needs.
  • Evaluate and ensure emergency response arrangements are in place, with staff aware of and able to comply with these protocols.
  • Carry out regular safety inspections and audits to maintain safety standards throughout all business activities.
  • Analyze Health and Safety statistics and performance metrics, making recommendations to Management based on safety performance measures.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a professional qualification in Health & Safety/Environmental Management is advantageous.
  • A postgraduate qualification in a related field would be ideal.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in office system management and process tools.
  • A flexible approach to tasks, with potential for lateral development.
  • A willingness to collaborate and assist others in a team environment.

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 per annum. This full-time role offers regular daytime hours, Monday to Friday.

This position presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Health and Safety professional to make a meaningful contribution to our organization.
