Job Summary:

The Qualified MFL Teacher will be responsible for creating engaging and interactive learning experiences, assessing students' progress, and providing feedback to support their development. The teacher will also participate in parent-teacher meetings, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in French and Spanish to students at the secondary school level.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning experiences to support student learning and development.
  • Assess students' progress and provide feedback to support their development.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and collaborate with colleagues to support student learning.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and school events.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in French and Spanish
  • Relevant degree in Modern Foreign Languages or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching French and Spanish languages at the secondary school level
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in MFL
  • Experience in using technology to enhance language teaching
Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a school environment, following term-time schedules, and participating in extracurricular activities as required. The teacher may also be involved in school events and training sessions outside regular hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
