Job Title: Cardiac Device Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Device Specialist to join our team in the field of cardiology. As a key member of our cardiac physiology department, you will play a crucial role in the implant and follow-up of cardiac devices, working towards proficiency in this area.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a competent band 6 professional to develop their skills and expertise, assisting in maintaining the Trust's high standards of care and contributing to the development of the cardiac physiology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex scientific and clinical roles, including procedures directly with patients, under the guidance of the UHN's Principal Cardiac Physiologist.
  • Implant and follow up bradycardia pacemakers under indirect supervision, providing a quality service for patients requiring these procedures.
  • Develop and deliver in-house training sessions for student physiologists and other technical and medical staff, supporting their professional development and performance.

We are looking for someone who can work autonomously, respond effectively to unexpected clinical emergencies and technical situations, and contribute at a senior level to the departmental organisation and development.

The salary for this position is £50,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
