Job Title: Electrical Panel Builder

Job Type: Contract

Location: Warrington, Manchester, Wigan, St Helens

Duration: 3-month contract with possibility of extension

Hourly Rate: £22.00 - £24.00 per hour (Ltd Company, Outside IR35)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week minimum, with possibility of extra hours

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Panel Builder to join our team at ATA Recruitment. As a skilled Panel Builder, you will be responsible for the construction and installation of electrical control panels for FMCG equipment. You will work on conveyor systems for the food and beverage industries, ensuring high-quality work and adhering to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reading technical electrical engineering drawings
  • Fitting of electrical components in accordance with electrical drawings
  • Assembling a wide variety of electrical control panels, including PLC's, invertors, sensors, relays, busbars, breakers, drives, and invertors
  • Installation and testing of electrical panels and cable assemblies
  • Utilizing 5S to ensure a clean and tidy work environment
  • Following and completing all production documentation
  • Working as part of an excellent, high-performing team
  • Some site work, involving the assembly and installation of electrical systems on machines
  • Commissioning of machines and factory and site acceptance
  • Adhering to company standards and producing high-quality work
  • Using hand tools and some power tools to assemble equipment
  • Working alongside the design team to ensure high-quality work

Requirements:

  • Highly experienced in electrical engineering, ideally within the FMCG industry
  • Hands-on experience working on components such as drives and motors
  • Ability to use hand tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, clamps, crimpers, and Allen keys
  • Strong communication skills, with the rest of the electrical team, including draughtsmen
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferable), a practical electrical qualification
  • Flexibility for possible travel in the future to assist with installation
  • Hardworking, reliable, enthusiastic
  • Desire and ability to learn
  • Good communication skills
