SEMH Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teacher to join our specialized SEMH provision in Walthamstow, East London. As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Develop and implement behavior management plans to support positive student outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods and strategies as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience teaching students with SEMH needs is essential.
  • A recognized teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and additional training or qualifications in SEMH are advantageous.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students with SEMH needs.
  • A compassionate approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and support their emotional well-being.
