Job Description

Connect44 GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant Business Partner to join our team on a hybrid basis from Bracknell. This is a permanent role that requires a strong background in finance and accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting statements for assigned entities, including annual audit coordination and preparation.
  • Provide financial control and reporting duties for entities, including balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Offer analysis and insight, linking financial reports to business strategies.
  • Act as a financial advisor, providing general financial support to commercial decision-makers.
  • Undertake project-based work for specific strategies, projects, or business initiatives, including profitability and cash flow modeling.
  • Prepare monthly reports for financing partners as needed.
  • Monitor cash planning requirements and liquidity for entities, working closely with the Group Treasurer.
  • Maintain, control, and own the general ledger for entities, in collaboration with the Finance Ops team.
  • Post and control accounts payable and accounts receivable, working with the Finance Ops team.
  • Monitor and collect overdues for C44, in collaboration with the Finance Ops team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior managers and their departments, including Operations, People & Culture, Administration & Sales.
  • Interact with external partners, such as tax and finance experts, and serve as the primary audit contact.
  • Provide cover for other ledger entities as required, during holidays or other absences.
  • Contribute to improving Connect44 processes, including the development of ERP and Management Information systems.
Requirements
  • Accounting qualification or finalist and QBE.
  • Previous relevant working experience in finance.
  • Ownership and control of end-to-end reporting of financial accounts.
  • Commercial analysis and review.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret raw data and translate it into clear, concise information.
  • The ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance individuals.
  • Dependable and flexible.
  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken); further languages (Dutch, French, Spanish, Romanian) advantageous.
  • Excellent MS-Office knowledge, specifically Excel required, and SAP by Design knowledge preferred.
