Geotechnical Engineer Job Description

Environmental Design & Research, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, & Environmental Services, D.P.C. is seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Syracuse, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct data review and analytical interpretation of subsurface soil investigations to inform engineering design standards.
  • Develop and recommend engineering design standards for structural foundations, ensuring stability and safety.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop reports and assign civil engineering designs.
  • Work on projects of moderate scope with complex features, applying geotechnical engineering expertise.
  • Contribute to teams that include civil, structural, solid waste, and wastewater/water engineers, landscape architects, environmental scientists, alternative energy specialists, planners, GIS analysts, and graphic artists.
  • Requirements: BS in Civil Engineering with at least 5 years' experience as a geotechnical engineer or recent graduate with an MS in Geotechnical Engineering.
