Job Opportunity: Assistant Building Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Building Surveyor to join our team at the University of Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from refurbishments to new builds, and to contribute to the delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of projects up to £200k, including CAD drawing work, project management, design, supervision, and contract administration.
  • Advise on technical matters and deal with general estate issues relating to planned maintenance.
  • Take responsibility for other members of the surveying team, such as clerks of works.
  • Work under own initiative and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to degree level in a relevant field.
  • Recent experience of working in a building surveying or multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to work on CAD drawing software and other technical tools.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

  • A competitive salary of £32,332 on Grade E, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • The opportunity to work on a variety of projects and to contribute to the delivery of complex projects.
  • A hybrid working arrangement, with three days a week based on the Streatham Campus.
