Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at BAE Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding different materials, including carbon and stainless steel, as well as aluminium.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality welding operations using various processes, including Manual Metal Arc, Metal Active Gas, and Metal Inert Gas.
  • Weld butts and fillets to a high standard, adhering to all SHE-related standards associated with welding.
  • Self-verify welds and ensure they meet the required quality standards.
  • Operate automated equipment and perform tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Modern Apprenticeship certificate (Trade Papers) and relevant experience in welding.
  • Knowledge of ceramic tile welding and experience with flux core arc welding.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Familiarity with SHE and Risk Assessment awareness.
  • Background in major construction or manufacturing environments.
