Corporate Programme Manager

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Programme Manager to join our Facilities Management service at West Sussex County Council.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a customer-focused technical surveying project management service, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient project planning and delivery.
This is a leadership role that includes the performance management of a team of Surveyors, Engineers, and building specialists.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement project plans, procedures, and business cases to drive continuous improvement in our Facilities Management service.
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and directorate clients to ensure efficient project planning and delivery.
- Lead and manage a team of Surveyors, Engineers, and building specialists to achieve project objectives.
- Contribute to the development and shape of future service provision.
We are looking for someone with proven leadership skills, a desire to influence colleagues, partners, and decision-makers, and a detailed understanding of managing building and development projects.
The ideal candidate will hold a honours degree or equivalent qualification in a building surveying or related construction discipline and have sound IT skills, including Microsoft Project.
Previous experience operating a demanding design and project management service is essential, as is the ability to provide direction and support to team members.
