Job Summary:

HV Energy Solutions Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commissioning and Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, modification, and maintenance of electrical distribution equipment at UK and overseas locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and perform installation, commissioning, modification, and maintenance of electrical distribution equipment.
  • Work at UK and overseas locations, including nuclear, military, and offshore sites.
  • Hold a full driving license and be willing to travel.
  • Have experience of working alone and as part of a team.
  • Be customer-focused and demonstrate a 'service' disposition.
  • Have a good understanding of electrical safety and be able to work with live HV networks.
  • Have experience of High Voltage Testing, CT Magnetisation Curves, and CT Primary Injection.
  • Have experience of Relay Secondary Injection and VT Primary Injection.
  • Have experience of Control Circuit Wiring testing and modification and Mechanical/Electrical function testing of 33kV - 400kV switchboards and networks.

Requirements:

  • Previous working experience of installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of switchgear and associated plant.
  • Hold a degree or HNC in a relevant field.
  • Have a good understanding of electrical safety and be able to work with live HV networks.
