Job Description:

HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Aerospace sectors.

We are seeking a highly skilled Shipyard Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all company owned and managed vessels are dry docked according to pre-defined project plans, focusing on quality work, on-time delivery, and cost control, while managing capital projects to improve vessel conditions and life expectancy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all processes relating to Dry Docking and New build projects
  • Monitor costs, project timelines and variations to project baseline from specification submission to final invoice
  • Ensure all vessel equipment, systems and structures comply with SOLAS, IMO, Class & Flag administration regulations
  • Manage procurement of dry dock spares and consumables within budget constraints
  • Liaise with Classification, Port State and Flag State representatives

Requirements:

  • Sea Going Chief Engineer qualification or equivalent, with relevant offshore support experience
  • Project management experience in dry docks and new builds
  • Strong understanding of maritime regulations and safety standards
  • Willing to travel and work abroad
