Job Title: Senior Heritage Consultant/Principal Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Heritage Consultant/Principal Consultant to join our team at Archaeological Research Services Ltd. As a key member of our Heritage Consultancy team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering high-quality consultancy services to clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of heritage consultants to deliver consultancy services to clients.
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and successful delivery of projects.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on heritage-related matters.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data and information for consultancy reports.
  • Prepare and submit high-quality consultancy reports, including desk-based assessments, environmental statements, and heritage statements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other professionals in the industry.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members to ensure their professional development and growth.
  • Contribute to the development of the company's heritage consultancy services, including generating new business opportunities and winning new projects.

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., archaeology, history, conservation).
  • Proven experience in heritage consultancy, including leading and managing teams, developing project plans, and delivering high-quality consultancy services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in CAD and GIS software, with the ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
